Bharat Weekend Box-Office Collection: Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif’s Patriotic Drama Loses Pace
Eid fetched a whopping Rs 42.30 crore for Salman Khan but as days passed, Bharat’s collection dipped and by the end of the week, became a little more than less by half. Although it has made 150 crore but if the weekend collection is compared to its bumper opening, then it would not be wrong to say, we expected a bit more
Bharat roared at the box-office on Eid (Jun 5, Wednesday) as it collected a humongous Rs 42.30 crore on Day 1, giving Salman Khan the biggest opening of his career. With such a great figure, we expected that Ali Abbas Zafar’s film will create a record over the weekend too. However, the film has started slipping in numbers. Come Sunday, it has made Rs 27.90 crore, almost half of its opening figure.
Although the Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif starrer has made a total of Rs 150 crore, yet it seems to be losing pace. Also, Sunday’s figure was affected by India Vs Australia match ICC World Cup 2019 match.

The film has received a good response from masses and critics alike. SpotboyE.com Editor, Vickey Lalwani rated film with 3 stars and besides Salman Khan and director, Ali Abbas Zafar, was all praises for Katrina Kaif too in the film. He wrote, “Katrina makes your eyes widen with her histrionics. Hasn't she jumped into the ring like 'Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned' after you know what that hurt her? She is zing, she isn't awkward, she is confidence personified. That problematic accent when she spoke Hindi has vanished. There are expressions on her face and she's even emoting through her eyes now. Zero was not a fluke from me, she's yelling mind you!”
